Abstract

The coexistence of pituitary microprolactinoma and endometriosis presents a clinical scenario that challenges standard practice in Gynecology and Endocrinology. Although traditionally treated as independent entities, evidence accumulated in recent decades suggests relevant pathophysiological interconnections that directly impact fertility, chronic pelvic pain, and patients’ quality of life. The objective of this report is to describe the management and clinical course of a patient with these conditions. We present the case of a 34-year-old patient who consulted in July 2025 due to a desire for pregnancy, abnormal uterine bleeding, migraines, and decreased libido. Her medical history included obesity and a pituitary adenoma previously treated with cabergoline, which she discontinued more than a year prior at her own request. Early diagnosis and timely treatment of these associated pathologies are of vital importance given our patient’s desire for short-term fertility and her prognosis.
